This museum has closed and moved to the city of Debrecen in Hungary. In other words, this museum is no longer available in Budapest.
Along the road that leads from the airport to the city (Üllöi Út) the Hungarian Natural History Museum can be found. Located between the Klinikák and the Nagyvárad Tér metrostop it is to be found at the Ludovika Tér.
The museum has permanent exhibitions, one of them can be seen for free outside the museum. That exhibition show rocks from early history, in order of time of origin. Inside the Natural History Museum you can find among the permanent exhibitions an Africa exhibition, a “Human and Nature in Hungary” exhibition, “The Treasures of the Carpathian Basin”, the skeleton of a Finback Whale (Balaenoptera physalus) and several other interesting exhibitions.
There are always interesting temporary exhibitions on the program as well, so they might give you another reason to visit this museum.
