The very popular American band P.O.D. will come to Budapest June 8th, 2011, to perform at A38. The concert boad will probably be packed as P.O.D. is a very popular band all around the world, and maybe especially in Christian circles. P.O.D. has released seven albumbs and sold more than 10 million cd-s worldwide, so they should for sure be able to fill A38 when they come to Budapest.

Planetshakers will return to Budapest in May 2011. They were here some years ago performing at the roof of WestEnd Citycenter, and already then the arrangers promised a new Planetshakers concert in Budapest within shortly. The time has arrived, and May 13th Planetshakers will again play their worship music in Petöfi Csarnok, concert starting at 19.00.

This spring and summer Budapest will host several amazing concerts. The highlight in May is probably the Shakira concert, the June highlight might be Sting or Roxette, and in July Santanta is coming to town. But, it doesn’t stop there. In June Joe Cocker will come to Budapest Sportarena as well to play and entertain his Hungarian fans. Joe Cocker is a legend, and with his legendary voice he has become extremely popular wherever he goes. Queens of the Stone Age is an American hard rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States, formed in 1997. Since its inception, the band’s line-up has included founding member Josh Homme, with its current line-up including longtime members Troy Van Leeuwen and Joey Castillo, alongside Michael Shuman and Dean Fertita.
Formed after the demise of Homme’s previous band, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy music. Carlos Augusto Alves Santana was born July 20th in 1947. He is a Mexican American rock guitarist. Santana became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, Santana, which pioneered rock, salsa and jazz fusion. The band’s sound featured his melodic, blues-based guitar lines set against Latin and African rhythms featuring percussion instruments such as timbales and congas not generally heard in rock music. Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner will come to Budapest to have a concert on the last day of June 2011. I guess he is more famous as Sting, but Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner is his original name. Sting has been to Budapest several and his Budapest concerts always bring lots of people to town, so I guess it will do the same now.
The English artist Sting was born in 1951, which means that he will turn 60 years old in 2011. But, Sting is still going strong, and I guess everyone who comes to his Budapest concert will see and hear that.
