Garden of Lights 2024/25
There is something special about lights as they bring hope and joy in the darkness. Garden of Lights in Budapest is about that! Instead of staying inside in the darkness, Garden of Lights gives you a reason to leave you accommodation in Budapest to discover a magical world in the fantastic Füvészkert (a botanical garden).
Garden of Lights is an international concept that started in Poland, and it has since then spread its exhibitions to several countries, including Hungary. 2023 was the first year in which Garden of Lights came to Budapest, and it was arranged in the beautiful Füvészkert.
As you visit the park, you will constantly get the “wow” feeling. Each year there is a different theme to the park, and in 2023/24, it was Alice in Wonderland, while the Smurfs is the focus in 2024/25.
It is possible to take great photos at the Garden of Lights, but it is impossible to fully share the atmosphere and the magic you get as you walk within the park and see it with your own eyes.

Is it worth the money?
The entrance fee which equals about 16 Euro might feel a lot (to some) and we can imagine that a large family in Hungary will have trouble paying such an entrance fee and bringing the entire family along. But, if you look at what you get and that the experience lasts for about an hour (depending on your speed), it is surprisingly well worth the money. It will give you an experience to remember, and we can warmly recommend Garden of Lights to visitors coming to Budapest looking for an entertaining and joyful program one afternoon.
