El Greco is a very famous painter. Few people know that the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest has the biggest collection of El Greco paintings outside Spain. If you didn’t know, but would like to learn more about El Greco, this is a fabulous opportunity to do so.

In addition to the El Greco works permanently located in Budapest, the Museum of Fine Arts has also borrowed paintings from famous museums such as Museo Nacional del Prado and the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, the Musée du Louvre in Paris, the National Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
